Tank's trip to Des Moines caused him to develop a couple blisters on his front feet. A trip to the Vet. office diagnosed the problem as "bumblefoot" Tank was given a shot of Baytril and put on Baytril tablets every 72 hours. He also gets daily warm Epsom salt soaks. I also have to treat his feet with Silver Sulfadiazine.
Things have been going well and his feet are getting better. I'm guessing another month and his feet should be back to normal. Tank will not be aloud to free-roam the back of the Subaru as this was the cause of the blisters. His scratching at the windows and door panels caused the blisters. According to my Vet. Tank's injury is common to captive turtles.
